The inspiration for this attractive wall clock comes from the Art deco ocean liner SS Normandie. When launched in 1932 the Normandie was the largest and fastest ship ever built, and on her maiden voyage broke the legendary Blue Riband record for the fastest Transatlantic crossing. The Normandie's luxurious interiors were fitted out with the finest Art Deco and Streamline Moderne designs, that were generally regarded as marvels of the period.
