The
inspiration for this very English Art Deco timepiece comes from
the exciting, bold and often bizarre designs of Clarice Cliff. During
the late 1920's and 30's Clarice produced many original and distinctive
ranges of pottery, often finished in attractive combinations of
bright colours. Clarice's innovative ceramics were a runaway success
and within a very short period of time there were around seventy
skilled painters employed solely to produce her own designs. |
