The inspiration for this distinctive geometric Cat pyramid mantel clock comes from creatively combining the attractive feline character of the much lovable Cat with the 1920's mania for all things Egyptian. Many Art Deco designers were greatly inspired by the stunning Egyptian archaeological finds made from this time, especially the treasures discovered from opening Tutankhamun's tomb. The Cat was also the most popular household pet in ancient Egypt and its status rose to that of a very special and sacred animal. We also make the Cat in three other mantel clock designs and as an ornament.
