The inspiration for this attractive mantle set comes from combining matching geometric Art Deco lines with the characteristic and much loveable features of the little Scottie Dog. Our Scotties are shown here as attentive and dutiful mantlepiece watchdogs. During the 1920's and 30's wonderful Art Deco style animals were often used as architectural detail, being incorporated into the design of buildings in clever and meaningful ways. The Scottie Dog forms part of our ever growing collection of Echo of Deco stylised animals, appropriately called Ark Deco. We also make the Scottie in two mantle clock designs, a brooch, ornament and jewellery tray. This set has been finished in our own Turquoise Crackle glaze, but is also available in many other Echo of Deco glaze colours.

Echo of Deco ceramics are designed and individually hand made at our studio pottery in the UK. We only produce around 750 pieces in total each year, which has made Echo of Deco a highly collectable and enjoyable investment for the future. Being art potters our strengths and interests are naturally focused on creating new designs and glazes. For authenticity all Echo of Deco Art Pottery is hand signed, back stamped and comes with a date numbered certificate.

The photographs shown on the web site are examples of our glaze colours, many of which are unique one off custom finishes, others are only made from time to time.
